The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) is a Section 8 company established under the Government of Andhra Pradesh through the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS). As the State’s principal platform for innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship, RTIH leads a Hub-and-Spoke network connecting five regional innovation foundations across Andhra Pradesh. Its vision—under the AP Innovation & Startup Policy (2024–2029)—is to make Andhra Pradesh a lighthouse of inclusive innovation and entrepreneurship.

Manager – IT

Role Overview

Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) is seeking a dynamic and solution-oriented Manager – IT with strong technical expertise in application development, systems management, and digital infrastructure. This role requires a professional capable of leading IT initiatives, managing internal platforms, supporting startup ecosystems, and driving digital transformation efforts at RTIH. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development & System Management

Design, develop, and oversee web-based applications and internal tools Manage and enhance CRUD-based systems, dashboards, and role-based platforms. Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability

1. Web & Frontend Development

Lead development of responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensure cross-platform compatibility and optimal user experience. Drive UI/UX improvements for internal and external platforms

3. Backend & Database Management

Work with backend technologies such as Python, Django, or PHP Oversee database design, management, and optimization using MySQL / SQL. Implement secure authentication systems and role-based access control

4. Odoo ERP Implementation & Support

Lead implementation, customization, and optimization of Odoo ERP modules. Coordinate with internal teams across HR, CRM, and operations for seamless workflow integration. Manage troubleshooting, upgrades, and vendor/developer coordination

5. IT Operations & Problem Solving

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues proactively. Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and best practices. Oversee testing, validation, and deployment processes

6. Digital Initiatives & Innovation Support

Drive development of startup tools, dashboards, and MVP platforms. Support incubation programs with technical expertise during cohorts and events. Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

7. Team Coordination & Leadership

Guide junior team members, interns, or associates in execution of IT tasks. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with organizational goals. Ensure timely delivery of projects with quality and efficiency

8. Continuous Improvement & Strategy

Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks. Recommend and implement improvements in IT systems and processes. Contribute to long-term IT strategy and digital roadmap of RTIH

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or related field
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in application development and IT systems

Core Competencies

• Application Stack

Backend: Node.js (v22 LTS) with Express.js

Database: MongoDB Atlas (managed cloud database)

File Storage: Cloudflare R2 (for scalable and cost-effective object storage)

• Deployment Infrastructure

Preferred: Render (for seamless CI/CD-based deployment and ease of management)

Alternative: AWS EC2 (if required for greater control or compliance needs)

• Networking, Security & Performance
• Cloudflare (Pro/Business plan – optional but recommended) for:
• Domain routing & DNS management
• CDN for improved performance
• DDoS protection and Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Programming: Python / Java / SQL (intermediate to advanced)
• Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Backend Frameworks: Django / PHP or similar
• Database Management: MySQL / SQL
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and SDLC
• Exposure to Odoo ERP or similar business management tools
• Familiarity with Git / GitHub
• Experience building academic or personal projects (end-to-end)
• Basic understanding of data analytics, dashboards, or visualization tool

Reporting & Coordination

• Work closely with internal teams including Programs, Incubation, HR, Operations, and Leadership
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as technology vendors, consultants, and developers for implementation and support
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business functions to ensure seamless execution of IT initiatives
• Provide periodic updates, reports, and dashboards to management on system performance, project status, and key deliverables
