The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub is a Section 8 company established under the Government of Andhra Pradesh through the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS). As the State’s principal platform for innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship, RTIH leads a Hub-and-Spoke network connecting five regional innovation foundations across Andhra Pradesh. Manager – AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE)

Employment Type: Full-time Contractual Role

Reporting: Head – AI Centre of Excellence / Designated Authority at RTIH, Vishakhapatnam

Role Overview

The Manager – AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE) will be responsible for the day-to-day execution, coordination, and operational management of the AI CoE at the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, Vishakhapatnam. The role will focus on implementing AI programs, managing infrastructure and partnerships, supporting startups and innovation activities, coordinating skilling initiatives, and ensuring smooth functioning of the Centre in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

a) AI CoE Operations & Program Execution

1. Execute and monitor AI CoE activities, programs, and initiatives as per approved plans and timelines.
2. Coordinate implementation of AI innovation programs, startup support activities, workshops, and operational initiatives.
3. Support execution of AI-related projects across sectors including healthcare, agriculture, education, governance, manufacturing, and smart infrastructure.
4. Maintain coordination with internal teams, consultants, vendors, startups, and ecosystem partners for smooth operations.

(b) AI Infrastructure & Lab Operations

1. Oversee day-to-day operations of AI labs, GPU/HPC infrastructure, cloud platforms, and innovation facilities.
2. Coordinate infrastructure setup, maintenance, software licensing, vendor support, and AMC activities.
3. Ensure operational readiness, system uptime, cybersecurity compliance, and efficient utilization of infrastructure resources.
4. Maintain inventory, access protocols, usage records, and operational documentation for AI facilities.

(c) Startup & Innovation Support

1. Support incubation, acceleration, mentoring, and operational activities for AI startups and innovators.
2. Coordinate startup onboarding, mentoring schedules, pilot implementations, and demo activities.
3. Facilitate startup access to datasets, AI infrastructure, technical resources, grants, and ecosystem support.
4. Organize hackathons, innovation challenges, workshops, demo days, startup showcases, and AI ecosystem events.

(d) Industry, Academic & Research Coordination

1. Coordinate with universities, research institutions, corporates, and industry partners for implementation of collaborative programs.
2. Support execution of joint projects, workshops, faculty development programs, internships, and AI research activities.
3. Facilitate operational coordination for industry-driven AI use cases, pilot programs, and applied technology initiatives.
4. Maintain communication and follow-up with ecosystem stakeholders and implementation partners.

(e) Market Access & Ecosystem Engagement

1. Coordinate with industries and stakeholders to identify operational challenges and AI use-case opportunities.
2. Support execution of innovation programs including hackathons, Buildathons, and AI application projects.
3. Facilitate startup-industry interactions, solution demonstrations, and operational engagement activities.

(f) Capacity Building & Training Programs

1. Coordinate execution of AI skilling programs, certifications, internships, fellowships, and training initiatives.
2. Manage logistics, scheduling, participant coordination, and reporting for training programs and workshops.
3. Support student engagement activities, innovation outreach programs, and workforce development initiatives.
4. Coordinate with training partners, academic institutions, and certification agencies for program delivery.

(g) Administration, Monitoring & Reporting

1. Support budgeting, procurement coordination, project tracking, and operational administration of the AI CoE.
2. Prepare operational reports, dashboards, utilization data, progress updates, and program documentation.
3. Ensure compliance with organizational procedures, procurement guidelines, cybersecurity practices, and governance requirements.
4. Coordinate meetings, stakeholder reviews, documentation, and follow-up actions.

Support management of teams, interns, consultants, technical staff, and external partners involved in AI CoE activities.

Qualification & Experience

1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
2. Additional certifications in AI, Data Science, Cloud Technologies, or Innovation Management will be preferred.
3. Minimum 08–10 years of experience in AI operations, technology program management, innovation ecosystems, digital transformation, incubation, or related domains.
4. Experience in handling AI infrastructure, startup programs, skilling initiatives, or Center of Excellence operations is desirable.
5. Exposure to government projects, incubation ecosystems, academic collaborations, or innovation initiatives will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

1. Strong execution and operational management capabilities.
2. Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, GPU infrastructure, and data systems.
3. Good coordination and stakeholder management skills.
4. Experience in managing programs, events, workshops, and operational activities.
5. Strong communication, reporting, and documentation abilities.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with startups, academia, industry, and government stakeholders.

Compensation

CTC : 10L – 12L per annum
